Women who Stutter-Our Stories

A new podcast has been started by a good friend of mine, Pam Mertz, who writes a blog for women who stutter www.stutterrockstar.wordpress.com .   She also started  a podcast called Women who Stutter-Our Stories. I am the featured guest on this week’s episode and it will start airing tomorrow night.  Please go to the blog site and it can be accessed.

Pam Mertz is an example of how someone who stutters can communicate with such ease. She is a natural and I admire her.  Pam and I often talk about fluency shaping.  She has helped me realize that fluency therapy for adults is often misunderstood and has helped me to clarify my methods of teaching teens and adults how to improve fluency.  Thank you Pam for all you do for the stuttering community.

  1. Its up, and you sound great. Thanks for the mention over here!

  2. It is my pleasure. It is interesting to hear one talk on “air”. I am venturing into my next part of my speaking life of trying to refine my public speaking tools, which I find difficult. I hope this podcast inspires others who stutter to do whatever they want to in life and not let stuttering hold them back.
I am also going to use this as a learning tool for myself to pause more, take my time breathing and practice the dreaded words “stutter” and “speech”. -LOL. Tks again Pam and I remind all of you. We are not seeking perfection, just self satisfaction and improved communication.
